Wine: 2012 Le Joly Blanc
Winery: Virgile Joly
Region: Languedoc, Southern France

Have you had a ripe juicy white peach that had been put in a bowl of sliced savory plums, nectarines, apricots, seedless grapes, kiwi and all summer fruits pleasing to the sense of taste and smell. Ambrosial, aromatic, perfumed, redolent, fragrant, scented, but not sweet, all come to mind when you first taste this wine. I want more.

From the Languedoc region in France, this wine has notes of all the above; the aromatic complexity of White Grenache is amplified by a touch of Roussanne. Try with grilled seafoods, Mediterranean and Caribbean foods and vegetarian dishes. I had it last night with Jamaican Jerked Pork prepared by Sue McNutt. It was a perfect wine for the meal.

Send us your tasting notes and we will post on our next blog!
